Taillon strikes out 6 in rehab start at Altoona on Sunday
ALTOONA, Pa. — According to CBS Sports, Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon in his first rehab start threw three innings for Double-A Altoona Sunday. He struck out six and allowed one hit and a walk.
Taillon had surgery May 8 for testicular cancer. The 25-year-old right-hander is 2-1 with a 3.31 ERA in six starts for Pittsburgh. He was the second overall pick in the 2010 amateur draft.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports Taillon will throw a bullpen session Tuesday in PIttsburgh.
