Weir High golf bests Indian Creek

NEW CUMBERLAND — The Weir High golf team bested Indian Creek by five strokes on Wednesday at Woodview Golf Course.

Weir tallied a team score of 187, while Indian Creek shot 192.

Jasmine Tustin led the Red Riders with a 44. Jesse Tustin and Dom Simich each carded a 47, while Elijah Zimmerman added a 49.

For the Redskins, Josh Speaker was the medalist with a 41. Luke Merriman shot a 45, Justice Morris 52 and Mason Porter 54.

Weir High faces Buckeye Local today.

TORONTO — Cole Degarmo and Hunter Keenan shared medalist honors and led Toronto to a victory over Wellsville on Wednesday at Dyer Country Club.

Degarmo and Keenan shot a 40 each, as the Red Knights finished with a 171 overall. Brennan Suffoletta shot a 44, and Andre Roach added a 47.

For the Tigers, they shot a 236. Shawn Osborn led with a 49.

Tri-match at Brooke

WELLSBURG — John Marshall bested Brooke and Madonna in a tri- match on Wednesday at Highland Springs Golf Course.

Brooke’s Ryan Bilby was the medalist, shooting a 37. Overall, the Bruins shot 206. Alexis Spensky carded a 51, Alex Jezierski 57 and Cole Craft 61.

Madonna did not finish with a team score. Chad Durante led with a 48, followed by Dom Mazur’s 49 and Joe Jelski’s 69.

John Marshall shot a 190, led by Ryan Campbell’s 44.
