Big Red tops JM
GLEN?DALE?- Steubenville Big Red came out of the gate in a big way, earning a 74-45 win over host John Marshall on Tuesday.
Big Red outscored the Monarchs 14-3 in the second period to take a 36-16 lead at the break. Steubenville also held a 21-3 advantage in three-pointers.
Brandon Herring-Hill led the way with a game-high 21 points, scoring Big Red’s first five points. Freshman Charles Reeves added 12, Lucas Herrington and Khaliq Bougard chipped in with 10 each and Adam Sterling nine.
Steubenville welcomes East Liverpool on Friday.

Wildcats fall late
LISBON?- The Edison boys basketball team fell to 0-2 and both losses have been in similar fashion.
Beaver Local outscored the visiting Wildcats, 24-15, in the fourth quarter for a 66-62 victory Tuesday.
Edison lost its opener at Toronto by giving up a fourth-quarter lead.
Austin Hyndman led the Wildcats with 15 points. Dylan Jones added 13 and Erik Lee nine.
Edison hosts St. Clairsville on Friday.
