Rough day for Huskies

CADIZ – Karlee Leonard had two singles and two RBIs as Hunter and Rachel Zeroski each had hits and drove in runs to lead Buckeye Local over Harrison Central, 9-4.

Sandra Gardner scattered eight hits and Ivy Starcher pitched two hitless innings for the Panthers.

Katie Ellzy led Harrison Central with her eighth home run and eight strikeouts on the mound. Paige Dunlap singled and doubled, while Ashley Heavilin and Alexis Dowdle drove in runs.

Shadyside gets best of baseball

CADIZ – The Harrison Central baseball team couldn’t keep up with Shadyside as the Tigers rallied for a 5-3 win over the Huskies on Wednesday.

Zach Arbogast took the loss with a pair of strikeouts and two walks. He scattered eight hits.

Giovanni Rocchi singled, doubled and drove in a run for the Huskies. Dustin Redish singled in a run and Brandon Mitchell collected a pair of singles.
