I’m thinking these girls get it. Not only are we learning the game of softball, but they are also learning the game of life. After Goddard came to me with the idea, I sent out a text to the other players and their parents and got a great response. The charity they decided they wanted to help was the Friendship Room Warming Center in Steubenville. They have a Facebook page which states they want to meet the immediate needs of our neighbors in downtown Steubenville. Feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, giving shelter and listening. We were greeted with much excitement and appreciation from McGovern, who runs the center. It was a great learning experience for a great bunch of girls.” Kylie Turner also participated.
