DeCaria — Zasowski
WEIRTON – Rita Virginia DeCaria and Andrew John Zasowski were married on July 4 by the Rev. Jim Rooney at the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens in New York City.
The ceremony took place at 6:30 p.m. in Magnolia Plaza and was followed by a reception in the Palm House.
The bride is the daughter of Vincent B. DeCaria and Marsha A. DeCaria of Weirton. She is head of business development and marketing for Linklaters LLP’s Global U.S. Practice and is based in its New York City office. She is a 1998 graduate of Weirton Madonna High School, a 2002 graduate of Denison University and a 2005 graduate of Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
The groom is the son of John “Jack” Zasowski of Philadelphia, Pa. He is a deals manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP in New York City. He is a 2001 graduate of Philadelphia’s Roman Catholic High School, a 2005 graduate of Villanova University and a member of the 2016 Executive MBA Program at the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Maria Concetta Lupa, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor. Stacy Lemley, Maggie LaRocca and Kacey Hagler were bridesmaids. Nieces of the bride, Anna and Emilia Lupa, and the goddaughter of the groom, Gianna Palermo, were flower girls.
Robert Palermo served as best man. Groomsmen were Nicholas Zasowski and Shawn Zasowski, brothers of the groom; Bruno V. DeCaria, brother of the bride; and Ben Muldoon, William “Liam” Murray and Joseph McEntee.
The newlyweds will be honeymooning in Beijing, Shanghai, Tokyo and Bali in early autumn.
The couple reside in Manhattan.
