Coloring contest winners

After judging more than 2,000 coloring sheets that were received from local children, the winners of the Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter Coloring Contest have been chosen. Entries were submitted by pupils from Hancock and Brooke County schools, along with members of the area credit unions. The children were awarded at the Oct. 24 meeting of the Weirton-Wellsburg Chapter of Credit Unions. Each pupil received $25, a personalized winner’s certificate from the credit unions and a souvenir picture. Weirton Mayor Harold Miller was at the meeting to present the certificates. The winners were: Kindergarten, Eden Davis, Kolvyn Gibson and Avery Amuso; first grade, Baylee Morris, Kaia Parish and Gracie Smail; second grade, Nathan Lynch, Miriam Martinez and Aubreauna Wright; third grade, Alayna Bennett, Jackson McCombs and Alaina Nelson; and fourth grade, Jade Mumford, Helen Pratt and Hanna Waugh.
