Steubenville

Investigated: City police investigated reports of shots fired in several areas of the city after midnight Jan. 1 but said residents likely heard fireworks being discharged in the area during New Year’s festivities.

Stabbed: A man whose girlfriend lives on Oak Avenue told police her ex-husband stabbed him in his left shoulder, abdomen and right ear, Tuesday. The woman was cut on the left hand, but told police she was not sure who did it. Both refused medical treatment.

Cited: Gene A. Smith, 51, no fixed address, open container, Tuesday.

Arrested: Emmet Blanchard Jr., 35, 762 Commercial Ave., Mingo Junction, breaking and entering, felony theft, Monday.

Arrested: Davee Wallace, 25, 1038 Charles St., Wellsburg, warrant out of municipal court for felonious assault, Monday.

Arrested: Robert Banks, 35, 827 Rosswell Ave., Steubenville, warrant out of municipal court for felonious assault, Monday.

Toronto

Arrested: Stewart Moore, 43, 508 Main St., Toronto, operating a vehicle under the influence, Monday.

Saline Township

Arrested: Lester Russell, 58, and Evelyn Russell, 56, both of Mound Street, Irondale, and their 37-year-old son Lester Russell Jr. of Saline Street, Irondale, were booked into the Jefferson County jail Tuesday on a variety of charges. following a domestic dispute, police said. Mrs. Russell was charged with assaulting an officer and resisting arrest and her husband with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. Lester Jr. was charged with menacing, resisting and disorderly conduct.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Julie Ann Willis, 44, 62 Ridgeland Dr., Toronto, disorderly conduct and failure to comply with an order or signal, Tuesday.

Arrested: Richard Dobbs, 901 Bank St., Toronto, domestic, Tuesday.
