Altercare Adena earns recognition

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Altercare Adena has been recognized as a 2019 recipient of the Bronze – Commitment to Quality Award from the American Health Care Association and National Center for Assisted Living.

There are more than 13,000 skilled nursing centers and assisted living communities nationally, and only 590 centers have received a Bronze AHCA award.

“This recognition is evidence of our commitment to sustainable care and quality,” said Jamie Hurlock, vice president of business development of Altercare Integrated Health Services. “It differentiates and distinguishes Altercare among providers and employers. Our superior clinical outcomes result in a successful pathway to healing and overall well-being.”

The AHCA and NCAL National Quality Award Program provides a pathway for providers of long-term care services to journey toward performance excellence. The program is based on the core values and criteria of the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program. This year’s silver recipients can advance in developing approaches that meet the criteria required for the gold award.

“I applaud this year’s Bronze recipients for taking this important step toward quality improvement,” said Alana Wolfe, chair of the AHCA-NCAL national quality award board of overseers. “I encourage these providers to continue on their path to achieve the highest of quality care.”

The award is the first of three levels in the program, and recognizes providers across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to improving quality of care in long-term and post-acute care.
