Lauttamus acquires Tri-City Communications

WEIRTON — Weirton-based A.V. Lauttamus Communications Inc. has acquired Tri-City Communications Inc., a leading provider of two-way land mobile radios, mobile video systems, wide area network coverage and electronic solutions for key health, government and corporate clients.

Based in Barberton, Tri-City provides emergency services products to mission-critical customers including radio communications, custom engineering and professional services and has been in operation nearly 50 years.

Lauttamus Communications and Security, established in 1967, is a diversified communications and security company that specializes in mission-critical networks, autonomous trains, air to ground communications systems, secure private voice and data networks, tower construction and professional services, including central station monitoring and inbound call centers for medical, crime and ethics and fraud hot lines. The company provides two-way radio communications systems, integrated security services, wireless networks, alarm and medical alert systems, SCADA and specialized security and communications services.
