Arrested: Rachel E. Hoffman, 39, 732 Rosswell Ave., Steubenville, drug abuse, possession of a drug abuse instrument and possession of drug paraphernalia, Saturday.

Arrested: Elizabeth A. Newman, 42, 1595 Township road 212, Bloomingdale, warrant for failure to appear, Sunday.

Arrested: Anthony Pathis, 30, 1302 Belleview Blvd., Steubenville, petty theft, Saturday.

Arrested: Robert Baxter, 39, 3704 Orchard St., Weirton, operating a vehicle under the influence, Saturday.

Reported; Callers told police a man was standing in front of a residence in the 900 block of North Sixth with a revolver in his hand, Sunday. Police were unable to locate the individual.

Stolen: A man hid a chainsaw valued at $249 under a bag of cat food, then left a store in Tri-State Plaza without paying, Saturday. Police were told the same individual also concealed multiple drill bits of unknown value on his person.

Injured: A woman told police a dog bit her on the left arm and right leg as she walked along Pennsylvania Avenue, Saturday.

Unruly: Callers said three juveniles in the 700 block of Rosswell Avenue were breaking glass bottles in the street, Saturday.

Cited: Grant Scott, 55, 17271 state Route 152, Toronto, failure to signal left turn; a juvenile from Wintersville, hit-and-skip after striking a parked vehicle at a gas station and leaving the scene; Joseph DiNardo, 26, 114 Petrick Ave., Mingo Junction, driving under suspension.

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Chad M. Chivers, 39, 321 E. 22nd St., Homestead, Pa., and Joseph Franks, 45, 125 Zaring Lane, Lemont Furnace, Pa., Saturday. Chivers was charged with disorderly conduct and Franks with obstructing official business after dispatchers received reports of a woman screaming and a man yelling for help at a residence in Stratton. Deputies reported the men were defensive and uncooperative, despite repeated warnings.

Arrested: Bryce Franklin Roscoe, 40, 1410 Hill St., Brilliant, warrant for failure to appear and assault, Saturday.

Arrested: Jonathan Williams, 30, 371 Summit Ave., Steubenville, possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct, falsification and obstruction, Sunday.

Arrested: Devonte Allen, 26, Steubenville, possession of a controlled substance, Sunday.

Shots: A Rayland man told deputies a subject he knows fired a shotgun near him while he was working in his backyard and also shattered windows on his father’s truck, Saturday.

Ohio State Highway Patrol

Arrested: Steven Brookheart, 55, 310 Whitson Dr., Vincennes, Ind., improperly handling firearm, operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension, Saturday.

Toronto police

Arrested: Timothy Householder, 43, 1500 Madison Ave., Toronto, operating a vehicle under the influence and blocking traffic, Friday.

Arrested: Justin Myslinsky, 39, 1217 Wentworth Ave., Toronto, operating a vehicle under the influence, Saturday.

Cross Creek Township

Arrested: Joseph Stromeyer, 46, 119 Outer Drive, Toronto, driving under suspension, obstruction, resisting and possession of a drug abuse instrument, Thursday.
