Jefferson County sheriff

Domestic: The sheriff’s department responded to a domestic situation, Wednesday. The caller stated they heard their neighbor “screaming for help” according to the report. The woman involved told the deputy that her and her husband were in an argument that escalated, she packed clothes attempting to leave, which he dumped out, and he blocked the door, grabbing her face and repeatedly slamming the door, according to the report. The deputy was advised the man involved had a previous domestic violence charge that had a temporary protection order issued. The deputy later located the man. David R. Major Jr., 28, 431 S. Main St., Amsterdam, was arrested for violation of a protection order and domestic violence.

Arrested: Daniel Karas, 34, 1155 Wilson Ave., Steubenville, having weapons under disability, unlawful possession of the dangerous ordinance.

Arrested: James Cassidy, 42, 57 Anthony Drive, Wintersville, two counts improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle.

Steubenville police

Arrested: Jessica Pinkerton, 28, 1436 Oak Grove Ave., three counts petit theft, two counts contempt of court, obstruction, bench warrant.

Brooke County sheriff

Arrested: John R. Anderson, 35, 102 Middle Ave., Weirton, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence and while license revoked administrative, March 28.

Wells Township police

Charged: Jack Driskell III, 34, 56 McGough Lane, Rayland, breaking and entering and theft, March 5.

Charged: Desse Reynard, 24, and Delilah Reynard, both of 182 township Road 167, Mingo Junction, both with disorderly conduct, March 6.

Charged: Abigail Hoagland, 18, 819 Labelle St., Brilliant, unauthorized use of a vehicle, March 17.

Cited for speeding: Christy DeVore, 38, 137 Meadow Road, Wintersville; Andrew G. Wharton, 17, Rayland; Jason L. Hearn, 41, 504 South Main St., Amsterdam; and Mazey E. Hearn, 21, 3825 Main St., Weirton.
