Jefferson County sheriff

Troubled: A 13-year-old Steubenville boy was booked for domestic violence and possession of drug paraphernalia after an argument with family members, Thursday. The youth allegedly had also barricaded himself in his room and punched holes in the walls and door, deputies were told. The remains of a rolled marijuana cigarette, a large, half-empty bottle of Black Velvet Toasted Carmel liquor and a shot glass were found in his room, a pack of cigarettes and a vape pen were found in his pocket, and while he was in the cruiser the youth screamed curses and punched the divider, deputies said.

Booked: John William Miller, 69, 107 Waynesburg Road NE, Carrollton, operating a vehicle intoxicated and disorderly conduct, Thursday; Brittany Dentz, 34, 32 1/2 4th St., Apt. A, Martins Ferry, probation violation.

Missing: A dirt bike was taken from a Dillonvale garage, Thursday. The owner told deputies the exhaust is missing from the bike, which was yellow with a black seat and a UNI sticker. His girlfriend thinks her ex may have taken the item.

Steubenville police

Cited: Crystal G. Gill, 41, 702 N. Chestnut St., New Cumberland, failure to yield left turn; Edquina V. DeHart, 33, 470 South Fifth St., Steubenville speeding; Mark A. Carr, 57, 1130 Lincoln Ave., Apt. D, Steubenville, driving under suspension; Maycol Vargas, 37, 518 Lawson Ave., Steubenville, no operator’s license and failure to control a motor vehicle following a one-car accident in the 1000 block of Adams Street.

Entered: Someone entered a residence in the 1400 block of Maryland Avenue and took an Xbox and a small container of change, Thursday. Entry was made through a side window, police said. The resident said she can identify the suspect from a video that was taken.

Not welcome: A caller in the 1400 block of Orchard Avenue told police a woman was attempting to enter his residence without permission, Thursday. The two were arguing when police arrived, and the man said he’d told the woman to leave multiple times, but she refused. The woman didn’t deny it, but said she’s been shut out because the man’s girlfriend found out he was hanging out with her. Police told her to leave, and she did.

Booked: John W. Woodland, 33, 157 McDowell Ave., Steubenville, possession of drugs, possession of drug abuse instrument and a fugitive from justice warrant out of Brooke County, Thursday.

Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to the owners of property at 1434 Oregon Ave., discarded household items; 743 Kendall Ave., furniture and scattered trash.

Toronto: Christine Shannon, 37, 414 N. 6th St., Toronto, public intoxication and disorderly conduct, Thursday; Jeffrey Thompson, 46, 1414 Center St., Wellsville, operating a vehicle under the influence, Thursday.

Cited: Cinnamon M. Lawrence, 22, 570 Canton Road, no operator’s license, improper backing and leaving the scene of an accident; Amiee J. Johnson, 50, 501 Harrison St., Empire, no operator’s license; and Sharon A. Barezinsky, 56, 345 Woodridge Drive, failure to assure clear distance; Tammy Firm, 52, 136 Reichart Ave., speeding; Jade B. Kallay, 45, 159 Jeffrey St., speeding; and Dean E. Wells, 62, 1732 Bantam Ridge Road, speeding.
