Bad move: A 15-year-old Wintersville youth admitted trying to break into the Tri-State Girl’s Softball concession stand, May 9. Deputies said the youth wasn’t able to get inside but he did manage to destroy a door. The cost to replace the door is around $2,600.
Steubenville police
Rolling rock: Police responded to reports a woman was “rolling” in the street near JFK Apartments, Thursday. They couldn’t find her.
Whisper: Callers reported a disturbance on Colonial Drive, Wednesday. The culprit turned out to be someone talking loudly on his phone, police said. They suggested he keep his voice down.
Cited: Joshua A. Feibelman, 24, 126 Maryland Ave., Steubenville, stop sign; Isabel Bettwy, 88, 106 Meridian Way, Apt. C, Wintersville, failure to control; Scott A. Gilmore, 50, 731 Oxford Blvd., Steubenville, DUS and expired plates.
Code issues: Notices of violation were sent to the owners/occupants of properties at 1320 Arlington Ave., 1324 Arlington, 1318 Pennsylvania Ave., 403 Rosslyn Blvd., 3123 Crestline Dr., all for high grass.
