Annual Car Cruise held at the Laurels of Steubenville

STEUBENVILLE –The Laurels of Steubenville held its ninth-annual Car Cruise on July 27.

This year featured record participation, organizers said.

Each participant received an official T-shirt, a dash plaque and had the chance to win a trophy in one of seven categories.

This year’s winners included: Rick Wilson for best of show, Ron Kaufman for best truck, Jerry Himmelrick for residents’ choice, Kenny Walter for staff choice, Robert Parker for Rose’s choice, John Robinson for best motorcycle and John Hillard for oldest vehicle.

This event is a favorite among the guests, residents, visitors and staff at the Laurels, according to organizers. It also is open to the public, and anyone is welcomed to join the festivities. Music and entertainment are provided by Tom Dowdel, and concessions and refreshments are served by Laurels management staff. All proceeds from the event benefit the activities department and assist with monthly musical entertainment, arts and craft supplies and taking the guests on community outings.
