ASSISTANT NAMED: Katie Hildman has been named as the new assistant director of the Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County.

“I’m very excited to have been given this opportunity and am looking forward to getting to know the area better as well as our patrons,” said Hildman.

She had served as director at the Rochester (Pa.) Public Library since 2015, where she had worked between 2005-2007 and 2012-2015 as librarian assistant.

Hildman earned a master of science degree in library science in 2017 from Clarion University of Pennsylvania.


The Ohio Mid-Eastern Governments Association has begun its long-range transportation planning process and is seeking public input to ensure the plan accurately reflects the region’s transportation needs, policies, strategies and projects during the next 20 years.

In order to gather public input from throughout OMEGA’s 10-county region, the survey is available online at omegadistrict.org/survey/ and takes approximately five to seven minutes to complete. Paper copies of the survey are available by request.
