EARNS DOCTORATE: Dr. Katrina White earned her doctorate of nursing practice with a focus on medication assisted treatment for opioid use disorder in May.

A 2000 graduate of Indian Creek High School and a 2004 graduate of the Trinity Health System School of Nursing, she moved to Virginia and worked in various emergency departments as a registered nurse in the area after completing an emergency department fellowship program at INOVA Fairfax hospital.

She earned a master’s of science degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from George Mason University in association with George Washington University 2012, where she continued work as a nurse practitioner in the emergency departments of INOVA Fair Oaks Hospital and Fauquier Hospital.

The daughter of Rhonda and Robert Howell of Wintersville worked for two years as a medical examiner for Virginia, and became board-certified as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at George Mason University in 2020.

She is credentialed by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau nursing honor society. She lives in Virginia with her husband and two children.

DOCTORATE: Stephanie LeMasters McVicker of Weirton earned her Ph.D. in information systems and communications from Robert Morris University in May. Her research in political disinformation, propaganda and persuasion in visuals earned her an academic excellence award, and her leadership within her cohort earned her the cohort leadership award. McVicker works as a business communications consultant and conducts research with the Propwatch Project.

NEW AGENT: Louis Heisler is a new agent in the Steubenville office of Harvey Goodman Realtor. A native of Nothern Virginia, Heisler came to the area in 2015 to study business management at the Franciscan University of Steubenville. While there, he began to invest in real estate and now is using that experience as a real estate agent. JOINS CEDAR ONE: Judy Shuman has become a new agent in the Weirton office of Cedar One Realty. She attended the Spruce School of Real Estate Inc. in Morgantown and became licensed this year.
