Brown named to leadership role with IBEW

KEVAN BROWN

STEUBENVILLE — Kevan Brown, a third-generation member of IBEW Local 246 in Steubenville, has stepped into his new role as business manager and financial secretary.

A 2011 graduate of Toronto High School in 2011, Brown entered the workforce with IBEW 246 after graduation, earning his journeyman’s card in May 2016. He has been actively involved in the field as a wireman and union steward.

Throughout his tenure with Local 246, Brown has worn many hats, serving as a health and welfare trustee, executive board member, membership development coordinator and president. In December, Brown’s leadership skills and dedication led to his appointment as business manager and financial secretary by the executive board.

In his new position, Brown will represent the members of Local 246 and work to advance the union’s interests in the industry and the broader community.

With a strategic vision and a strong commitment to the well-being of union members, Brown said he is well-positioned to make a significant impact on the continued success and growth of IBEW Local 246.
