Community Bread Basket in Weirton recently received a shipment from Mountaineer Food Bank of Gassaway, W.Va. Volunteers helping to unload the truck were, Pastor Tim Colvin, front, and standing, from left, Bill Aftanas, Mike Runkel, Tom Runkel, Bob Johnson, Carolyn Johnson, Luke Krause, Michah Krause, Isaac Krause and Terry Cullinan. “Community Bread Basket is a cooperative outreach ministry to assure the basic needs of life for families in our communities,” a spokesperson noted. It serves Brooke and Hancock counties and purchases food each month to replenish food distributed the previous month.
