Looking for volunteers

-- Contributed

Community Bread Basket volunteers, from left, Mike Runkel, Terry Cullinan and Jim Pauchnik with Weirton Mayor Harold “Bubba” Miller, all of whom are 1964 graduates of Madonna High School. Pauchnik is challenging graduates of all local high schools — and social groups as well — to recruit a group for the nonprofit’s Friday food distribution at CBB. “I see so many photos of class reunions, and I thought that these groups could get together once a year on a Friday for a few hours,” he said. “This would rebuild bonds within the classmates as well as help the less fortunate in our communities,” he added, noting the Community Bread Basket is always in need of volunteers on Fridays from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. to distribute food. It is located at 3501 West St. The phone number is (304) 748-7595.
