WINTERSVILLE — The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club announced key award winners during its annual banquet held Nov. 4 at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church.

Singled out as photographers of the year were Andy Tindor, first place; Barb Momyer, second place; and Anissa Wellington, third place. The members accrued the most points during the monthly competitions for the entire year and were ranked accordingly.

The Members Choice award, selected by popular vote, went to Sam Rees for his close-up of a cardinal. All members were encouraged to enter a favorite photograph of theirs, then vote for their personal favorites.

The people’s choice award was the result of popular vote at the photo exhibit at Eastern Gateway Community College in October. It was presented to Melanie Michalos for her photo of a beach scene.

The Upper Ohio Valley Camera Club welcomes anyone who has an interest in photography. Meetings are held at Two Ridges Presbyterian Church, state Route 43, Wintersville.

The next meeting is Tuesday, beginning at 7 p.m. It is a competition night, and the theme will be “Autumn Scenes.” For information, visit the website at or the Facebook page.
