Candids from Wintersville’s Holiday Splendor

WINTERSVILLE — The OFWC Woman’s Club of Wintersville welcomed 220 guests to its 17th-annual Holiday Splendor held Dec. 2 at St. Florian Hall in Wintersville.

Proceeds generate money for scholarships.

The event included a luncheon, vendor shopping, an array of Chinese auction baskets, door prizes, a 50-50 drawing and special grand prize drawings of jewelry from Discovery Jewelers of Wintersville.

The latter were won by Deidra Devore, a pair of earrings, and Lala Pendleton, a watch.

The 50-50 drawing winner of $424.50 was Sandi Ober.

Mary Beth Allan, club president and event chair, extended the welcome, and Robbie Young, gave the invocation. Joyce Palmer served as mistress of ceremonies. The Wintersville club is part of the General Federation of Woman’s Clubs, which is a service organization dedicated to community improvement through volunteer service. Leigh Ann Gross, manager of Christopher & Banks in the Ohio Valley Mall in St. Clairsville, was accompanied by Tina Kitlak. Club models were Pat Ketzell, Karen Hill, Marjean Sizemore, Judy Weaver, Claudia Dorich, Darlene Woods and Beth Leland.

Indian Creek High School Key Club members who helped escort guests to their tables were Lizzie Keener, Roan Kovach and Katie Turner.
