Old-fashioned country Christmas at Sycamore Center Tuesday

STEUBENVILLE — “An Old-Fashioned Country Christmas at Sycamore” is an evening of music and food that will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sycamore Youth and Community Center located at 301 N. Fourth St., but doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

“It will include some of the top youth and adult singers in the Valley singing some of the most popular Christmas songs of all time,” explained Bobbyjon Bauman, program manager at the center and president of the Ohio Valley Youth Network.

The event is free of charge, and Christmas cookies and wassail and other refreshments will be served.

The center has been decorated to a 1950s Christmas theme by Paula Stevens, building manager.

“This is an event you won’t want to miss,” Bauman said. Featured vocalists are Michael Jett; Jacqueline Shea; Amelia Collopy; Sara Johnston; Christina Westlake; Alexandra Kaine; Olivia Huval; Ben Acors; Dani Carroll; Teresa Kropka; Sycamore Community Youth Choir; the Symington family — Eliza Symington, Becca Rook and Mary Sarah; Audrey Post; Michael Manocchia; Jennifer Harris; Gemma Nelson and Michael Manocchia; Keenan Seditz; and Jean Schalk.
