Quinn welcomes public to Valentine’s Day celebration
STEUBENVILLE — Planners at Quinn Memorial African Methodist Episcopal Church, located at 515 North St., are putting their “hearts” into organizing a Valentine’s Day celebration they are welcoming the public to enjoy.
The first-time event will be held at the church on Feb. 14, beginning at 6 p.m., and include dinner, entertainment and prizes.
The dinner will feature chicken, ham, baked beans, potato salad, green beans, macaroni and cheese, cake, Valentine cookies, punch, coffee and tea.
The Valentine dinner will be served by “the gentlemen of our community.”
Entertainment will include a variety of music — jazz, rhythm and blues and pop — and there will be games, charades and karaoke as well.
Everyone will be given a ticket for door prizes, according to planners.

Eloise Curenton is serving as chair of the committee that also includes Pearl Brown, Amin Butler, Ilana Chester, Gloria Crossland, Patricia Fletcher, Jacqueline Gibson, Gloria Howard, Terry L. Jennings, Lisa Mason, Marge Monaco, Soundra Palmer, Carol Ann Simmons, Jah Sawyer and Sylvia Thompson.
