WIAACC assembles, delivers comfort bags for cancer patients

Members of the Women In Action against Cancer Coalition assembled and delivered 50 comfort bags to the Tony Teramana Cancer Center as part of their mission to educate, assist with financial screenings and provide support for cancer patients in the area. The bags consisted of blankets, word searches, pencils, tissues, hand sanitizers, $20 gift cards for Bob Evans and notepads, which were supplied by the Prime Time Office on Aging. The coalition has been in existence for 25 years and meets monthly at the Prime Time Senior Center, 300 Lovers Lane, Steubenville. It looking for new members to assist with its various projects and fundraisers. For information, contact Janet Sharpe, co-chair, at (740) 632-1144.
