Holiday car show

-- Contributed

The daughters of Chester Lions Club member Brian Stewart — Briana, left, and Sierra — stand in front of their father’s 1967 Chevy Nova SS in anticipation of the annual Chester Lions Club Fourth of July car show, which will be held at the Chester City Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 4. Motorcycles also are welcome to be part of the show. Registration is $5 per car or motorcycle and will be conducted from 10 a.m. until noon. There will be 36 awards, including “Best of Show.” Dash plaques will be provided to the first 150 registrants. Door prizes will be given every 15 minutes to registrants. The festivities also will include a DJ, a 50/50 drawing and a Chinese auction. Food and beverages will be available for purchase. The car show is one of many activities planned for the holiday in Chester. Owners are welcome to enter their cars in the parade, which begins at 4 p.m. For information on the car show, contact Steve at (412) 370-7356. The rain date is July 26 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
