Wintersville High School

All-Class Reunion is Saturday

WINTERSVILLE — The Wintersville High School All-Class Reunion will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday at Aladdin Land in Reeds Mill, Wintersville.

Those planning to attend are asked to bring a covered dish. Beverages will be provided. Donations would be appreciated, according to an organizer.

Oak Glen High School Class

of 1969 looking for old photos

NEW MANCHESTER — The Oak Glen High School Class of 1969 is looking for old photos to display at its upcoming reunion.

Any class member who still has his or her first-grade class picture is asked to contact a member of the committee. The picture will be copied and returned to its owner.

Classmates who plan to attend the reunion are reminded that the deadline for reservations is Sept. 30. The reunion will be held Oct. 12 at the East Liverpool Country Club.

Weirton library hosting

used book sales on Saturdays

WEIRTON — The Mary H. Weir Public Library, 3442 Main St., Weirton, is continuing to hold a used book sale on Saturdays.

The final two are Aug. 17 and Aug 24 from noon to 4 p.m. in the library’s garage on Walnut Street. Parking is available in the rear of the building. A large assortment of items will be available. Books will be sold individually or by the bag.

Country Friends announcing

entertainment for weekend

COLLIERS — Country Friends will host the Neon Knights on Friday and Moonlite Special on Saturday at the Memorial Hall located at 67 Police Lodge Road, Colliers.

The doors open at 6 p.m., the dance starts at 7 p.m., and the hall closes at 10 p.m. for both events. There is a $5 cover charge per person on dance nights.

Open mic is Monday. The doors open at 4 p.m., the covered-dish meal is served at 5 p.m., and open mic begins at 6 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge on Mondays, but donations are appreciated.

Brilliant Legion recruiting

vendors for August flea market

BRILLIANT — The Brilliant American Legion Post 573, located at 210 Market St., will be hosting a flea market on Aug. 24, beginning at 9 a.m.

Tables and spaces are available for $10 for outside vendors or $15 inside. To reserve a table/space, contact Mickey Nest at (740) 317-7109.

“If you are reserving space inside the building, no large items or furniture (washers, dryers, couches, beds, etc.) will be permitted inside,” a news release notes. “No hot food is to be sold.The Legion will have hot food and drinks available for purchase.”

The flea market is a rain-or-shine event. “If you reserve a space outside, feel free to bring something to shade or cover your table,” the release adds.
