Lions hear program on identity theft, scams

The representatives offered information on how to prevent identity theft and scams that are moving through the area. They said they are available to present information to any area group or organization. Dorothy Hawkes offered the prayer and Lion George Hawkes led in opening exercises. The club received a thank-you note from the Leader Dogs program for the club’s donation and was provided a patch for the club banner. The club also was sent a Melvin Jones Fellowship patch for the banner, and information was received on the Wreaths Across America program. Bob Manypenny reported on setup for the Riverfest; an Adopt A Highway date was noted; there was discussion about what to do for the RAP 2019-20; and reminders were given on the dates for the Weirton district governor night and zone meeting.
