Adena Lions Club hears pantry presentation
To celebrate Thanksgiving, the Adena Lions Club members gathered for a holiday meal at its November meeting, followed up with a presentation by guest speaker Lynne Sweeney on her work experiences at the Adena Community Food Pantry. She offered information on the frequency of distributions and the number of families and volunteers involved. She also explained the funding required to keep the food pantry in operation and its sources of revenue and donations. Lions in attendance brought donations of food items for the pantry. With Sweeney, left, are club members, from left, Jeanie Shields, president; R.J. Konkoleski, past district governor; and Angelica Kidd, member.
