Today’s community page is devoted to candids from the GFWC Weirton Woman’s Club’s “Fashion to the Maxx — Part 2” style show held Nov. 10 at Undo’s in the Weirton Holiday Inn.

Chaired by Jeanne Amidon, the event featured fashions by T.J. Maxx of Steubenville with Michele Kernahan serving as the commentator describing the styles worn by several models, who included club members Amidon, Molly Mossor, Jane Watson and Kay Kempler and youth Caroline Pulice, Lydia Azzarello, Aireanna Gray, Kalie Moore and Avah Gray.

The event began with the welcome extended by Amidon, who thanked those attending the fundraiser along with her committee — club President Helen Gibson, Sharon Neeley, Delores Azzarello, Kay Kempler and Diana Durst.

Teresa Conley gave the inspiration before the luncheon was served. The style show followed, and the event ended with drawings for a variety of Chinese auction items and the 50-50. There also were door prizes. The fundraiser enables the club to contribute to numerous community projects and offer scholarships to local students.
