Nearly 80 new members were inducted into the National Beta Club at Edison High School on Nov. 25. Forty-one seventh-graders joined the junior high organization, and another 38 were added to the high school group. Members exemplify good character, leadership, academic achievement and community service. During the ceremony, a special presentation was held to honor the memory of student Mackenzie Smith as her parents, Ross and Marsha Smith, accepted a plaque from the National Jr. Beta Club as well as her high school certificate.
