Help on weekends

-- Contributed

Joe Lombardi of Lombardi Construction has built and donated two boxes to be used on weekends when people are in need of food. The boxes will be placed in front of Community Bread Basket at 3501 West St. in Weirton. Anyone wishing to put a donation of nonperishable food into the box may do so, and anyone in need can take what they need from the boxes. It is similar to the lending library boxes seen in the area. “We hope to get the boxes put up when the weather is good,” said Tara Sheperd, program administrator. With Sheperd, left, are Lombardi, center, and Keith Fabianich, retired EMT from New Cumberland Ambulance Service and CBB volunteer.
