Coalition planning second-annual cancer survivor dinner

The Toronto Coalition for Revitalization will host the second-annual cancer survivor dinner, which will be held March 19 at the Karaffa Recreation Center, formerly known as the Karaffa Elementary School in Toronto. The social time starts at 6 p.m. followed by the dinner provided by Manfred’s Catering. The program afterward will include guest speakers and cancer survivors Melissa Watts and Bridget Saylor. The dinner is free for cancer survivors with the cost for family and friends being $15 per person. Reservations are due by March 13. To RSVP or for information, call (740) 537-9500. The coalition also will host the 10th-annual Campbell-Dickinson 5K and the Noah Long Kid’s 1K fundraiser for cancer patients on March 21. For information on both events go to www.TheGemCity.org.
