A special message

The Easter cross is on display once again at the Grafton farm in the Pleasant Hill area of state Route 213, Steubenville. Beginning Saturday and continuing through April 13, the message will be illuminated from 8 p.m. until midnight. The message “We Will Prevail” and the cross constitute about 350 milk jugs illumated with white strands of lights. Jim Grafton credited his wife, Sarah, with coming up with the message. “We wanted to have a positive message with everything going on,” he said, referring to the coronavirus pandemic. “It’s a theme for the country to go by, and the message is to tough it out.” Decorating the hillside with the milk jugs for a holiday message is a tradition of 20 years, and is done at Christmas, Easter, Halloween and more recently Valentine’s Day.
