Cadiz Women’s Golf League

The play of the day on July 8 for the Cadiz Women’s Golf League was low gross. Hostesses were Judy Crawshaw and Carole Patton.

The winners were: A flight, Marilyn Kenny; B flight, Joanne Hardman; and C flight, Judy Crawshaw. Tracy Amos, Judy Crawshaw and Marilyn Kenny had chip-ins while Tracey Amos, Jane Galigher and Marilyn Kenny had birdies. The putt winners were Bonnie Beetham and Marilyn Kenny.

Next week is “League Guest Day.”

Spring Hills

Spring Hills Thursday Ladies Golf League played “Two Best Balls of Four” on July 9.

Winning teams were Debbie Phillippi, Vickie Grant, Ruth Lamantia and Brenda McCloskey and Cyndi Vidas, Yuko Atwell, JoAnn Hardman and Mary Alice Meyer. Both teams tied with an 86

The tie was broken on the second hardest hole with Phillippi, Grant, Lamantia and McCloskey getting first.

Long drive was A flight, Cyndi Vidas, and B flight, Vickie Grant.

Closest to the pin was A flight, Debbie Phillippi with a birdie. She also had lowest putts.

No chip-ins were recorded so the pot carries over.

JoAnn Hardman was the 50-50 winner.

The Spring Hills Thursday Golf League played July 2.

Winners were, low net: A flight, Kathi Moore; B flight, Brenda McCloskey; and C flight, Pat Carey.

Long drive winners were A flight, Cyndi Vidas and C flight, Pat Carey.

Closest to the pin winners were: A flight, Debbie Phillippi; B flight, Vickie Grant; and C flight, Pat Carey.

Debbie Phillippi won lowest putts.

There were no chip-ins recorded.

Birdies were recorded by Ruth Lamantia and Debbie Phillippi.

Vickie Grant won the 50-50.

Town and Country

Town and Country Golf played “Low Gross and Low Net” on July 9. Low gross winner was Laura Froehlich, and low net was Patty Saccoccia. Low putts was Froehlich, and a chip-in was recorded by Shirley Guida on hole No. 4.

Long drive hole No. 1: A flight, Wanda Retzer; B flight, Norma Henson; and C flight, Guida.

Long drive hole No. 6: A flight, Retzer; B flight, Henson; and C flight, Guida.

Closest to the pin hole No. 4: A flight, Froehlich; B flight, Pat Zorne; and C flight, Guida.

Town and Country Golf had medal play on July 2 while sporting red, white and blue.

Winners were: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Norma Henson; and C flight, Rose Kaczmarek. Low putts was Froehlich.
