Cadiz Women’s Golf League

“Christmas in July” was the play of the day on July 22 for the Cadiz Women’s Golf League. Hostesses were Ann Milleson and Joanne Hardman.

The winners were Kathy Newburn (74) in A flight; Donna Griffin (85) in B flight; and Carole Patton (95) in C flight.

Putt winnings were split between Kathy Newburn and Carole Patton. Newburn also had birdies on hole Nos. 1 and 14 with a chip-in on hole No. 9. Lori DeFallo had a birdie on hole No. 14, and Judy Crawshaw had a chip-in on hole No. 4.

Hostesses for next week are Lori DeFallo and Denise Augustine, and the play of the day will be Best Ball.

Red Oaks Ladies League

The women of the Red Oaks Ladies League played the front nine on July 20. The play of day was “Subtract Your Putts.”

Yuko Atwell came in first place, and there was a tie for second place between Tammy Koutsky and Ruth Lamantia.

The skill prizes for closest to the pin on hole No. 4 and long drive on hole No. 7 went to Kathi Moore and Denise Augustine, respectively. Carmela Wallace had the lowest putts for the round.

On Monday the group will travel to Wellsburg to play at Highland Springs. Call the clubhouse by 4 p.m. to sign up for the game.

Spring Hills Ladies Golf League

Spring Hills Ladies Golf League members played July 23. Winners were:

Low net: A flight, Cynde Vidas; B flight, Erin Mader; and C flight, Neysa McCart.

Long Drive: A flight, Debbie Phillippi; B flight, Mary Di Michele; and C flight, Carmella Wallace.

Closest to pin: A flight, Cynde Vidas; B flight, Erin Mader; and C flight, Carmella Wallace.

Lowest putts and chip-in pot, Cynde Vidas

50/50 drawing, Carmella Wallace.

Town and Country

Town and Country Golf played “Return to Par 2 Holes” on July 23.

Winners were: A flight, Laura Froehlich; B flight, Patty Saccoccia; and C flight, Rose Kaczmarek. Low putts was Froehlich.

Long drive hole No. 2: A flight, Froehlich; B flight, Norma Henson; and C flight, Nancy Lelli.

Long drive hole No. 9: A flight, Wanda Retzer; B flight, Toni Jean Dondzila; and C flight, Kaczmarek.

Closest to pin hole No. 4: A flight, Retzer; B flight, Kathy Antinone; and C flight, Shirley Guida.

Town and Country Golf played “Two Women Best Ball with Handicap” on July 16. The winning team consisted of Pat Zorne and Rose Kaczmarek with a score of 26. Low putts was recorded by Kaczmarek.

Long drive hole No. 7: B flight, Kathy Antinone and C flight, Shirley Guida.
