Red Oaks Ladies League

The women of the Red Oaks Ladies League traveled to Wellsburg on Aug. 31 to play at Highland Springs Golf Course.

The play of the day was a three-woman scramble. The winning team was Ruth Lamantia, Carmela Wallace and Tammy Koutsky. Skill prize winners were Signa Findlay, closest to the pin in two shots on hole No. 5, and Lori DeFallo, who had the longest drive on hole No.6. Carmela Wallace had a chip-in on hole No. 2.

The next day of league play will be on Sept. 14 at Red Oaks Golf Course. The start time will be moved up to begin at 4:45 p.m. Participants are asked to call the club house by 3:30 p.m. to sign up for play.

Town and Country

Town and Country Golf played a scramble on Aug. 28 with the winning team being Signa Findlay, Pat Zorne and Rose Kaczmarek with a score of 40. Findlay had a chip-in on hole No. 5.

Other winners were:

Long drive hole No. 1: A flight, Wanda Retzer; B flight, Toni Jean Dondzila; and C flight, Shirley Guida.

Long drive hole No. 6: A flight, Retzer; B flight, Patty Saccoccia; and C flight, Guida.
