Gun drawing fundraiser

to benefit Boy Scouts Council

WINTERSVILLE — A gun drawing fundraiser will benefit the Ohio River Valley Council Boy Scouts of America.

It is being sponsored by Precision Tire and Alignment, located at 91 Maplewood Ave., Wintersville. A live drawing will be held Dec. 18.

Tickets are a $20 donation and can be purchased at Precision Tire, (740) 264-7944 or the BSA Council Office, (304) 277-2660. Tickets will be mailed or e-mailed to purchasers.

There are five guns being offered, and each ticket has the possibility to win all five guns.

Deadline Dec. 3 for Mingo

Children’s Christmas party

MINGO JUNCTION — The Mingo Knights of Columbus Children’s Christmas party will still be held this year, just in a different way, according to Shawn Zarych, grand knight, Mingo Knights of Columbus.

“This will be a drive-through only children’s Christmas party in order to keep everyone safe,” he explained, noting the drive-through will be held in front of the Mingo Knights of Columbus Hall at 1 p.m. on Dec. 6 with treats being passed out.

It will be limited, however, to 35 children.

Reservations are a must, and specific information must be provided by the Dec. 3 deadline. That includes full name and phone number, boy or girl and age. Reservations can be called into the hall at (740) 535-8037 or by e-mail to shawno1963@gmail.com or by Facebook at Shawn sez Zarych, messenger.

Brilliant UMC planning

Dec. 12 Christmas bazaar

BRILLIANT –The Brilliant United Methodist Church will hold its annual Christmas bazaar on Dec. 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The church is located at 525 LaBelle St., Brilliant.

Cookies, nutrolls, fudge and crafts will be available. Social distancing will be observed, and masks are required.
