When Ron Jones of Weirton, right, read in The Weirton Daily Times that the Weirton Knights of Columbus had donated $250 to the Community Bread Basket, he wanted to match that donation, according to Jim Pauchnik, a CBB board member. “I know that COVID-19 and the economy have impacted what Community Bread Basket does in Hancock and Brooke counties,” Jones told Pauchnik. “I see the wonderful job that Community Bread Basket does, and I wanted to match the K of C donation and invite all organizations, local and state leaders and individuals to step up and help,” added Jones, who recently presented a check to Pauchnik, left. Anyone wanting to accept Jones’ challenge can contact Pauchnik at (304) 670-8637 to pick up the donation. Donations also can be sent to the CBB at P.O. Box 154, Weirton, WV 26062, or dropped off at Community Bread Basket office at 3501 West St., Weirton.
