The Piney Fork American Legion Post 735 Auxiliary invited the two students from Buckeye Local High School selected to attend Buckeye Girls State to speak at a recent social meeting. Bailey Ebright, left, daughter of Rita and Bart Morris and Chris Ebright of Cadiz, and Heather Lambright, daughter of Jason and Willemyn Lambright of Dillonvale, spent a week at the June event, learning about government and democracy, hearing Gov. Mike DeWine speak and serving in leadership positions. Ebright was in Jones City as its city director and on the department of health while Lambright was in Hobart City, serving as a city councilman. Both explained that they learned a lot from the week-long event and appreciated it a great opportunity made possible by the auxiliary’s sponsorship.
