Lions hold health fair

Harry Thomas, left, gets an eye test by Richmond Lions Club President Ken Miser using the club’s Welch Allyn SpotVision Screener, a hand-held device that enables efficient vision screening. The service was one of several offerings at the club’s recent free health fair held May 14 in the fellowship hall at Richmond United Methodist Church. The outreach included low-impact strength exercises demonstrated by club member Larry Neptune; blood pressure readings, pulse oxygen levels and literature from the Jefferson County Health Department; and a presence by the Richmond Volunteer Fire and Rescue Co.
