Friends and Neighbors

Friends and Neighbors 4-H Club met June 7, taking a walking tour of the Jefferson County Landmark beforehand.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kaity Morrison, and the 4-H pledge followed, led by Bailey Ebright. Leah DiNofrio conducted roll call to the question “What is your favorite thing about the fair?”

The minutes from the last meeting read by DiNofrio stood approved as read. Ella Hall reported the club balance to be $515.48.

Under old business, the donation to Sienna Woods pantry was discussed with suggestions including soaps, body wash and shampoo.

New business included discussion of a club field trip to the Uhrichsville Water Park. Live Skill-A-Thon is required, and new ideas were talked about for the fair booth. The club agreed to do flower beds at the fairgrounds. Project judging will be held July 9.

Caleb Zifzal gave a demonstration regarding “C sharp,” which is for his coding project.

Wildwood Critters

The Wildwood Critters 4-H Club met June 2 at Murray’s Restaurant in Wintersville.

Activity fees were collected, and T-shirt orders were placed. Urban Mission community service was completed and discussed.

A health report on the contents of a first aid kit was given as well as a demonstration on how to make a bug bite stop itching.

The next meeting will be held at the end of June.
