‘Paint and Snack’ events scheduled

The Swaney Memorial Library in New Cumberland will hold two “Paint and Snack” events for children. The first session will be held Monday at 11 a.m. for children ages 2 to 5. This group will be painting rocks, and all painting supplies and snacks will be provided. This is a free event, but parents must register their child by calling the library at (304) 564-3471 so supplies and snacks can be purchased. Children should wear old clothes or a smock because the paint will not wash out, a spokesperson noted. The second “Paint and Snack” will be held Aug. 15 at 2 p.m. for children ages 6 to 10. This group will have a choice of two designs that they will paint on a canvas. Pre-registration is required, and the event is free. Participants are encouraged to wear old clothes. For questions or to register, contact the library.
