Four Seasons Club meets at Undo’s
WEIRTON — Members of the Four Seasons Senior Club held their monthly meeting on Dec. 18 at Undo’s Family Restaurant and Catering in Weirton.
President Gene Viola called the meeting to order, after which Tony LaRosa gave the opening prayer.
Following the reciting of the Pledge of Allegiance and singing of “God Bless America,” officials introduced Mary Alice Myers, a guest of member Joyce Dobbs.
Prizes were awarded to the following members: The winner of the 50/50 drawing was Delores LaRosa; the winner of the sign-in book was Jeanette Panebianco; and Mike Rowland and Bucky Sims won Undo’s gift certificates.
The winners of a door prize included, Delores LaRosa, Helen Bayne, Laura Mamula, Janet Orler and Liz Beecroft.
Bayne was recognized for having a birthday in December.
The secretary’s report was given by Secretary Valerie Rowland.
The treasurer’s report was given by Josie Cekinovich.
It was announced the club obtained an income of $165 obtained through the sale of chocolate-covered treats made by Nancy Ramsey.
In the matter of discussing old business, it was stated a selection of officers still needs to be named for the year.
Under new business, it was announced board members will need to be selected.
Jokes were told by Viola, Beecroft and Jim Cerra.
The telephone committee planned to call and inquire as to who would like to take office.
The club will not meet in January, officials stated.
The next meeting is slated for Feb. 19 at the Breakfast Club in Steubenville, depending upon the weather.
