The business meeting began with roll call. There were 20 members present, and all officers were in attendance except for Joanne Raha.

The December minutes were read by Paula Diorio. Raha provided the financial report, which was presented by Kontra. The report was approved and filed for audit.

In the absence of Kathy Flippo, Dorothy Mazik recognized members who celebrated a birthday in January, including Theresa Jurasko, Diana Werkin, Donna Balzano, Rose Walsh, Rose Giampolo, Lorraine Zwierzewicz and Jeanette Panebianco.

Those celebrating a February birthday were recognized, including Fabbro, Kontra, Debbie Riccardo, Vicki Bish, Kathy Coldebella and Carrie Petrozzi. Gifts were presented and happy birthday was sung.

Diorio read the club’s correspondence, including messages from the Aim Women’s Center, the Steubenville Catholic Schools Foundation regarding the Legacy of Faith capital campaign, Riley Morris, Joann Babela, the Minch family and Kathy Hoover and family.

Coldebella reported cards were sent to Eileen Moody, Renee Afek, Dolores Connor, Kathy Hoover and Evelyn Minch. Requests were made for a card to be sent to others.

Mazik said she will organize a committee to work on ideas for a Strawberry Festival in June.

Dunfee thanked everyone for their Christmas gifts, and mentioned there is an issue with the hall floor. He stated he will look into having the floor repaired.

The group awarded two door prizes since there was not a January meeting. Prizes were given by Hoover and Jurasko.

Kontra was the winner of Hoover’s prize and Mary Karovic won Jurasko’s gift.

Karovic won the 50/50 drawing, as well, and donated it to the CWC.
