Clum to serve as Sycamore Stars manager

STEUBENVILLE — The Ohio Valley Youth Network has announced its new program manager for the Indian Creek Middle School Sycamore Stars Program will be Michelle Clum.

Clum plans to bring a strong academic focus to the program for the 2025-26 year, officials commented.

According to Clum, “Education is the key to unlocking the potential of every child. Whether your child is advanced in math, at grade level or struggling, our professional tutors will take your kids to the next level. It’s about transforming kids into competent and confident students who love learning.”

“I have taught thousands of students, and the most rewarding and frequent statement from my former students is that they loved my class because I had high standards for their achievement, but I also made it fun,” Clum added.

Clum has more than 25 years experience in teaching math, biology, chemistry, reading and psychology at the high school and college levels. She is a frequent guest lecturer and business consultant who holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Franciscan University of Steubenville, a teaching credential from CSU Los Angeles and a master’s in organizational psychology from Azusa Pacific University.

OVYN President Bobbyjon Bauman stated, “We at the Ohio Valley Youth Network are grateful for her service as the program manager for the Sycamore Center the past two years. She has led our initiatives that focus on addressing the needs of urban youth through education, nutrition programs and relationship building.”

“We are excited to have her serve in this new position and look forward to seeing the lives of our area youth transformed through the ICMS Sycamore Stars after-school program.”
