COLUMBUS — The Serenity Street Foundation — a Columbus-based, nonprofit, sober living program for men — will present the 13th-annual Soberfest Ohio festival Sunday at the Franklin County Fairgrounds in Hilliard.

The premier drug- and alcohol-free musical festival demonstrates how recovery and celebration go hand-in-hand.

Everyone is invited to join in this day of fellowship, including those in recovery and their family members, behavioral health and healthcare professionals, treatment centers, recovery organizations, those who support recovery efforts and anyone seeking to enjoy a family-friendly festival.

The annual event shows that loud, live music can be enjoyed while remaining sober in a safe, judgment-free environment. Last year’s festival attracted more than 1,400 attendees, officials noted.

This year, nine bands will perform various genres of music from 11 a.m. to 10:15 p.m. Among those headlining the event are Broken Habits, the Mighty Bristlecone, Rock This Way, Whirl, Analog Youth, Matt Keegan and Pilot to Pluto.

Organized by a committee of volunteers in the recovery community, Soberfest is always thankful to all of its volunteer who help plan and assist on the day of the event.

The festival will include guest speakers, food trucks, a Kidzone, games and activities suitable for the entire family.

A resource fair will be on site, where more than 65 resource partners will be available to help link attendees to critical services within their community.

“Soberfest Ohio proves that you can enjoy loud, live music and have an incredible time, while maintaining sobriety,” stated Chris Rice, committee member of Soberfest Ohio.

“This event is not only a celebration, but an opportunity to demonstrate the power of fellowship and support in recovery,” Rice said. “We’re creating a safe, judgment-free environment where the entire community can come together.”
