Creek to hold craft show
MINGO JUNCTION — Holiday shoppers will be able to find gift ideas this weekend during the fourth-annual Winter Wonderland Craft Show.
Hosted by the Indian Creek Middle School Parent Teacher Organization, the event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the school.
More than 60 vendors will be participating, including food trucks selling various foods.
A 50/50 drawing is planned, along with a chance auction.
“We have two or three food trucks coming and our 50/50 this year will benefit the Mingo Police Department’s Cops and Crusaders program, which takes some of the area’s youth Christmas shopping,” explained Jenna Patton, organizer of the event.
“Proceeds benefit the PTO, which helps provide items for various pantries at the school for food, hygiene and clothing,” Patton continued. “We help offset the fees associated with the PBIS field trips and help stock the Tomahawk Store. This year, we plan on adding a catered lunch for the staff.”
Patton said holding this winter craft show is a great way to provide a fun event for the community. Among the items available for sale will be jewelry, baked goods, wreaths, T-shirts, home décor, 3-D printed novelties and tumblers.
“I wanted to help contribute and be the difference we need to see for our future generations,” Patton added. “The kids need to know people care, even if it’s a pair of gloves, a hat, or food for them to take home.”
The event is free and open to the public.
Patton commented the event is always well-attended, with her expecting the same result this year, as well.
