Police reports

Jefferson County sheriff

Arrested: Travis Mosti, 38, 1311 Josephine St., Toronto, aggravated assault, criminal damaging and assault, Thursday.

Steubenville police

Arrested: Kendra Miller, 37, no fixed address, Steubenville, possession of drug paraphernalia, Thursday. Miller’s arrest followed a traffic stop initiated after a car she was riding in made an improper turn from McDowell Avenue onto Sunset Boulevard, police said. With consent to search, police say they found a bag containing a digital scale, several torn bag ends, a glass crack pipe burned on both ends and mail bearing Miller’s name. The driver of the car, Herbert Rood, 43, 525 Canton Road, Wintersville, also was cited for driving under suspension.

Damaged: A driver left the scene after striking a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Cunningham Lane, tearing the bumper off and denting the fender, Thursday.

Hit: A McDonald’s employee declined medical treatment after being struck by a passing vehicle while patching cement in a traffic lane next to the drive thru lane, Thursday. The driver told police he didn’t see the employee nor was he aware he’d hit anybody, police said. Police said they located one safety cone in the roadway and retrieved a second from beneath the vehicle.

Burning: A caller reported seeing a man toss a burning object from his car window on Stanton Boulevard, Thursday. The caller told police the man later got out of vehicle and “appeared to be attempting to light vegetation on fire.”

Violent: A man struck his girlfriend in the face and broke two windows to another residence after she told him she’d visited a male friend earlier in the day, Thursday. The woman’s face was swollen near her eye, police said. The suspect returned to the home later and, when told to leave, picked up a piece of wood and broke the front window of the residence, police reported.
