Jefferson County sheriff
Stolen: A Bloomingdale man told deputies someone broke into his house and took an engagement ring belonging to his late wife, Thursday. He valued the ring, a 1-carat Marquis diamond with baguettes, at $3,500.
Arrested: Zachary Mumford, 35, 676 Flats Road, New Cumberland, failure to comply with a police officer, Thursday.
Steubenville police
Arrested: Michael Gallahan, 35, 850 Gilbert Ave., Follansbee, possession of drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug abuse instruments, Thursday. Gallahan allegedly admitted a clear plastic bag containing a substance believed to be heroin, a crack pipe, two needles and a spoon belonged to him.
Arrested: Leozie Pearson III, 54, Apartment 210, 707 Market St., bench warrant.
Taken: A man told police someone snatched a dirt bike helmet he’d sat on his car while he cleaned it out, Thursday. The man told police he’d noticed a blue GMC truck parked next to him and after he’d noticed it was missing, he spotted it listed on Facebook Market for $50.
Booted: A couple renting a room at a hotel on University Boulevard was told to leave, Friday. Police said hotel employees had fielded several complaints about noise and drug activity.
Violations: Owners of properties at 1403 and 1411 Wellesley Avenue were notified of weeds violations; 465 Woodlands, weeds and litter, including a toilet left in the backyard; and 101 S. Forest, broken furniture. All were told to bring properties into compliance.
Ohio State Highway Patrol
Arrested: Sadiyq Holloway, 28, 2831 August St., Grove City, Ohio, having weapon under disability, possession of drugs, receiving stolen property and improperly handling a firearm in a motor vehcle, Thursday.
